This Public Notice specifies the procedure for the export of certified organic products, superseding earlier notifications (Public Notice No. 73 (RE-2013)/2009-2014 dated 18.11.2014 and Public Notice No. 10/2015-2020 dated 05.05.2015).

Key highlights include:
Organic products for export must comply with the standards outlined in the “National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP),” as updated on the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) website https://www.apeda.gov.in/.
Only products accompanied by a Transaction Certificate (TC) issued by a certification body accredited by the National Accreditation Body (NAB) under NPOP will qualify for export as organic products.
The 8th edition of NPOP will take effect 180 days from the issuance of this notice.
