The Government of Kerala has issued amendments to the Kerala Micro Small and Medium Enterprises and Other Enterprises Facilitation Rules, 2020. Key changes include:

  1. Replacing the term “acknowledgment certificate” with “Certificate of in-principal approval” throughout the rules.
  2. Adding a definition for “project cost,” which includes land, building, plant and machinery, miscellaneous articles, contingent expenses, commencement or post-operative expenses, and marginal money for working capital.
  3. Extending the validity period in Rule 5 and Form II from “three years” to “three years and six months.”
