Applicable Act/Rule: Customs Act, 1962
Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House (JNCH) has introduced “NIRYAT SAMVAAD,” a monthly forum aimed at enhancing exporter grievance redressal and promoting seamless trade facilitation. This initiative reflects JNCH’s commitment to addressing individual exporter concerns through direct and constructive dialogue, distinguishing it from broader trade facilitation platforms such as the Permanent Trade Facilitation Committee (PTFC) and Customs Clearance Facilitation Committee (CCFC).
NIRYAT SAMVAAD provides exporters with the opportunity to present their specific issues, gain clarity on customs procedures, and receive prompt resolutions. Systemic trade matters will continue under PTFC/CCFC, maintaining a clear distinction between collective and individual grievance handling.
The forum is scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month, with a hybrid format to ensure maximum accessibility. Exporters can submit grievances via email to apmainexp@jawaharcustoms.gov.in by the 5th day of each month, mentioning “NIRYAT SAMVAAD” followed by their IEC and grievance in the subject line.
Exporters, Export Promotion Councils, and associations like the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) are encouraged to participate actively. The Appraising Main (Export) section serves as the nodal administrative unit for implementing this transformative mechanism.
