Launch of MSME Trade Enablement and Marketing (TEAM) Initiative

The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has introduced the MSME Trade Enablement and Marketing (MSME TEAM) Initiative under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Program on June 27, 2024. This scheme aims to promote e-commerce adoption among Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), with a particular focus on women entrepreneurs.

Key Features of the MSME TEAM Initiative:

  • Leverages Digital Public Infrastructure through the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). Encourages MSMEs to participate in e-commerce, boosting their digital market presence.
  • Financial outlay of ₹27.35 crores has been allocated for implementation.
  • National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) has been appointed as the Implementing Agency.
  • Workshops and awareness programs are being conducted by NSIC in collaboration with State Governments, industry bodies, and ONDC. With the objective to onboard MSMEs onto ONDC compliant Seller Network Participants (SNPs), enhancing their market access.

This initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to digitalize and expand MSME trade opportunities, ensuring greater participation in the formal e-commerce ecosystem.
