SEBI has introduced the Document Number Verification System (SEBI-DNVS) to enhance transparency and allow stakeholders to verify the authenticity of physical communications issued by SEBI.

Key Features of SEBI-DNVS:

1. Unique Outward Number: Every physical communication from SEBI, including letters, notices, show-cause notices, and summons, will now bear a unique Outward Number for verification.

2. Verification Process: Users can verify the authenticity of SEBI’s communication by:

• Entering the Outward Number on SEBI’s website.
• Providing details such as the sender’s name, date of the communication, and recipient’s name.
• Authenticating via a one-time password (OTP) sent to the recipient’s registered mobile number.

Note: The system verifies only the issuance of the communication and does not authenticate its contents.

3. How to Access SEBI-DNVS:

• Available on SEBI website (www.sebi.gov.in).
• Path: Home > Authenticate Document Number Issued by SEBI.
