Notification/Circular No.: RERA/Pb./Admn/EG(J)/2025/6462 dated May 7, 2025

Applicable Act/Rule: Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016

Applicable Section/Rule: Section 6 and Section 8

Effective Date: 1 July, 2025

Punjab Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA Punjab), during its meeting held on December 12, 2024, reviewed the process for extending the registration period of real estate projects under the RERA Act.

From July 1, 2025, promoters applying for an extension of registration under Section 6 or Section 8 of the RERA Act must submit all relevant No Objection Certificates (NOCs) that are listed in their License to Develop Colony or any equivalent approval document. This requirement applies to all real estate projects registered with RERA Punjab. The directive ensures that only those projects with up-to-date and complete statutory permissions are considered for registration extension.

Failure to comply with this requirement may result in rejection of extension applications. All promoters are instructed to adhere strictly to this directive.
