Under the POSH Act, 2013, every private establishment employing 10 or more workers is mandatorily required to constitute an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC). Failure to do so may result in a penalty of up to ₹50,000 as per Section 26 of the Act.
The government has directed that all such private establishments in Mumbai district must register their Internal Complaints Committee details on the SHE-BOX portal. This is applicable to all eligible private offices, and the process must be completed by May 15, 2025.
Private establishments in Mumbai district must follow the below procedure for ICC registration on the SHE-BOX portal:
This is a compulsory compliance requirement. All submissions must be completed before the deadline, failing which action will be initiated by the District Women and Child Development Officer, Mumbai.
