Chhattisgarh Revises Incentive Limits Under EV Policy

Applicable Section/Rule: Part V-2 A (1) and (2); Clause 12.1 of the EV Policy

Chhattisgarh Government had earlier notified its Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy to encourage adoption of cleaner mobility solutions. State Government has now revised certain subsidy provisions under clause 12.1 of the policy.

  1. The maximum purchase incentive has been reduced from ₹1.5 lakh to ₹1.0 lakh.
  2. A new condition has been inserted stating that no subsidy will be granted for vehicles priced above ₹20 lakh.
  3. The earlier provision granting hybrid electric vehicles 50% of the EV subsidy has been withdrawn. Hybrid vehicles will now receive no subsidy under the policy.

These changes will be applicable from the date of publication of this notification in the official Gazette, i.e., May 29, 2025.
