The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has introduced an automated process for resetting passwords and unblocking user IDs in the Unified Reconciliation and Settlement System (URCS). This initiative aims to address the significant number of CRM complaints (20%) related to forgotten passwords and user lock issues.

Three Password Reset Options:

  1. Answer Secret Question
  2. OTP-based Authentication
  3. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Additional Notes:

  • Ensure unique email IDs and mobile numbers for maker and checker user IDs to avoid user ID blockage in URCS.
  • Update correct email IDs and mobile numbers in URCS to utilize the new solution effectively.
