Background – On April 21, 2025, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) had issued a circular SEBI/HO/ISD/ISD-PoD-2/P/CIR/2025/55 that significantly amended the existing framework under the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015. The circular extended the automated trading window closure mechanism, which was applicable solely to Designated Persons (DPs), to also include their immediate relatives,on  account of declaration of financial results. For more details, please click on the link –  Extension of automated implementation of trading window closure to Immediate Relatives of DP – 1-Comply
 
Further NSDL has also released some FAQs on the captioned subject, viz. FAQs  on Trading Window closure period under Clause 4 of Schedule B read with Regulation 9 of Securities and Exchange Board of India (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015 (“PIT Regulations”) – Extension of automated implementation of trading window closure to Immediate Relatives of Designated Persons, on account of declaration of financial results.
