The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has notified the Management of Contaminated Sites Rules, 2025, under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. These rules aim to address and manage areas contaminated by toxic and hazardous substances, which pose significant risks to human health and the environment.
