WDRA Advisory for Warehousemen on Display of Registration Certificates and Accurate Address

Notification/Circular No. T-21032/7/2025-Technical/C.No-1630/3089 dated September 25, 2025
Applicable Act/Rule:
Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007

WDRA observed that multiple godowns within the same warehouse premises were being registered under different warehousemen through separate ownership or lease documents, resulting in multiple registration certificates. This causes duplication and confusion in warehouse registrations.

Warehousemen are advised to prominently display their WDRA Registration Certificate within their warehouse premises, preferably in a laminated or glass frame, to help Inspecting Officers distinguish already registered warehouses from new applications. Additionally, warehousemen must mention and update the complete and correct warehouse address exactly as stated in the Ownership or Lease Document when filing WDRA applications.
