To enhance financial literacy and public trust, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has been running the ‘RBI Kehta Hai’ campaign through multiple media channels — print, TV, radio, and digital platforms. As part of its continued effort to improve direct communication with citizens, RBI launched its verified WhatsApp channel in April 2025 to share authentic financial information and awareness messages.
RBI has now added a second verified WhatsApp account (number 99309 91935) to its existing public communication channel (99990 41935). Both accounts are verified with a blue tick and will be used to disseminate official messages, awareness updates, and financial safety information directly to the public.
This initiative aims to make financial education accessible, combat misinformation, and strengthen transparency in RBI’s public outreach. Citizens are advised to follow only the verified WhatsApp accounts and regularly visit www.rbi.org.in for authentic updates.
