The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has issued an amendment via G.S.R. 881(E), further modifying the 2011 Packaged Commodities Rules. This fits within a broader 2025 amendment exercise under the Legal Metrology Act.
Implication: The exemptions under clause (a) of Rule 26 will exclude pan masala — i.e. the general reliefs under that clause will not apply to pan masala from February 1, 2026.
