DGFT has updated the IEC (Importer Exporter Code) application and modification process by incorporating required details into Form ANF-2A. Earlier requirements listed in ANF-1A have been merged into ANF-2A and ANF-2A has been revised accordingly.
Para 2.08 of the Handbook of Procedures has been amended. IEC applications must now be submitted in the revised ANF-2A only, which is annexed with the Public Notice. The previous formats and provisions requiring ANF-1A are removed and replaced with updated requirements. RAs must conduct post-verification as stated in the revised para. The revised ANF-2A is mandatory for all IEC issuance and updation
