Notification / Circular No.: S.O. 1575(E) dated March 25, 2026

Applicable Act / Rule: Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013

Effective Date: April 01, 2026

The Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 regulates the prices of scheduled formulations to ensure availability of essential medicines at controlled rates. Prices are periodically revised based on the Wholesale Price Index (WPI). The last price notifications were issued through earlier orders, including notifications dated March 27, 2025 and May 06, 2025, which fixed ceiling prices for various formulations. This notification provides the annual WPI-based revision.

The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has fixed revised ceiling prices of scheduled formulations:

  • Ceiling prices have been revised based on annual Wholesale Price Index (WPI) increase of 0.64956%.
  • The revised prices specified in Column (5) of the Table shall be the maximum prices (exclusive of GST, if applicable) for the formulations listed.
  • The revised ceiling prices are applicable from April 01, 2026.
  • The notification supersedes the corresponding ceiling prices mentioned in earlier orders for the listed formulations.

The Table includes detailed formulation-wise pricing (dosage form, strength, unit, and price), covering a wide range of scheduled drugs.
