Amendment to Tariff Values under Customs Act, 1962

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs periodically notifies tariff values for specified goods for the purpose of levy of customs duty. These values are prescribed under Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.), dated August 3, 2001, and are subject to revision from time to time. The last amendment to this notification was made vide Notification No. 25/2026-Customs (N.T.), dated March 13, 2026.

In the said notification, for TABLE-1, TABLE-2 and TABLE-3, the following Tables shall be substituted, namely:

  • Tariff values for the following goods remain unchanged:

Table-1

    • Crude Palm Oil – 1112 USD per metric tonne
    • RBD Palm Oil – 1132 USD per metric tonne
    • Others – Palm Oil – 1122 USD per metric tonne
    • Crude Palmolein – 1138 USD per metric tonne
    • RBD Palmolein – 1141 USD per metric tonne
    • Others – Palmolein – 1140 USD per metric tonne
    • Crude Soyabean Oil – 1183 USD per metric tonne
    • Brass Scrap (all grades) – 7404 USD per metric tonne

Table-2

    • Gold – 1568 USD per 10 grams
    • Silver – 2820 USD per kilogram

Table-3

    • Areca Nuts – 7020 USD per metric tonne
