The Income-tax Department has made available the Excel Utilities for filing Updated Returns (ITR-U) for ITR-1 to ITR-7 for Assessment Year 2025–26. Taxpayers who are eligible to file an updated return under section 139(8A) can now prepare and submit their returns using these utilities through the income-tax e-filing portal.
