Description: 
The GST Network (GSTN) has introduced a new functionality for biometric-based Aadhaar authentication and document verification for GST registration applicants in Uttar Pradesh. 

Key details include: 

1. Applicants will be identified on the GST portal based on data analysis and risk parameters. 
2. After submitting Form GST REG-01, applicants will receive either: 
   • A link for OTP-based Aadhaar authentication, or 
   • A link to book an appointment at a GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK) for biometric authentication and document verification. 
3. Applicants visiting GSKs must carry: 
   • A copy of the appointment confirmation email, 
   • Details of jurisdiction as mentioned in the intimation email, 
   • Original copies of Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, and uploaded documents. 
4. Biometric authentication and document verification will be completed at the GSK for all individuals listed in Form GST REG-01. 
5. Applicants must book an appointment within the maximum permissible period indicated in the intimation email. 
6. The ARN (Application Reference Number) will be generated only after completing biometric authentication and document verification.
