The Boiler Attendants’ Rules, 2025 prescribe conditions under which boiler attendants may operate boilers based on the aggregate total heating surface. These rules apply to boilers situated in the same premises and under common ownership. The principal rules were notified vide G.S.R. 721(E) dated September 29, 2025. This amendment revises the permissible aggregate heating surface limit and specifies additional location and ownership conditions.
In the Boiler Attendants’ Rules, 2025, in Form C, for the brackets, words and figures:
“(not exceeding 150 square meters in aggregate of total heating surface), provided he is assisted the number of fireman” the following shall be substituted:
“(not exceeding 200 square meters in aggregate of total heating surface), provided that such boilers shall be situated within a radius of thirty meters in the same premises and belong to one owner and further provided that he is assisted by the number of fireman
