C-PACE Revolutionises Voluntary Closure of Companies and LLPs
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has operationalised the Centre for Processing Accelerated Corporate Exit (C-PACE) to fast-track voluntary strike-off of companies and LLPs, reducing processing time from over 2 years to under 2 months, with uniform PAN-India treatment, real-time tracking, and complete online communication.
Advisory on extension of GSTR-3B due date in few districts of Maharashtra State
In view of the natural calamity caused by heavy rains, the due date of GSTR-3B for the July-2025 tax period has been extended from 20th August, 2025 to 27th August, 2025 for the following districts of Maharashtra state:

PNGRB LPG Storage &Bottling Safety Amendment Regulations, 2025
The PNGRB has amended the 2019 Technical Standards and Safety Standards for LPG Storage, Handling, and Bottling Facilities. The revision strengthens compliance, monitoring, and penalty provisions. The earlier framework was limited in terms of enforcement and did not provide detailed procedures for penal action in case of violations.
Carriage of Goods by Sea Act, 2025
The Government of India has enacted the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act, 2025, repealing the nearly century-old Carriage of Goods by Sea Act, 1925. The new legislation provides a modernised legal framework governing contracts for the carriage of goods by sea and aligns Indian law with present-day international shipping conventions.
Income tax (Twenty Second Amendment) Rules, 2025
Section 17 of the Income-tax Act defines what is included in salary for taxation, particularly perquisites and allowances. However, the Act provides certain monetary thresholds which needed clarification through rules. To remove ambiguity and bring uniformity in tax treatment, the government has now prescribed fixed limits for salary income and gross total income under specific clauses of section 17.
Drugs (2nd Amendment) Rules, 2025
The Central Government had earlier proposed amendments to the Drugs Rules, 1945 through a draft notification issued on July 12, 2024. This draft was published to gather inputs from stakeholders such as manufacturers, distributors, and healthcare professionals. After reviewing the objections and suggestions received, and with the advice of the Drugs Technical Advisory Board, the Government finalised the Drugs (2nd Amendment) Rules, 2025. The notification was issued on August 18, 2025, with the changes set to apply from March 1, 2026.

Guidelines for Implementation of Amendment No. 1 to IS 16270
Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has issued guidelines for implementation of Amendment No. 1 to IS 16270:2023, covering secondary cells and batteries for solar photovoltaic applications. The amendment introduces modifications in scope, typographical corrections, and adds discharge current requirements for lithium batteries.
