Notification/Circular No. – HQ-PUB013/1/2020-PUB-BIS (1396) dated February 02, 2026
Applicable Act/Rule – Rule 15(1) Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) had issued a notification on January 01, 2026, published on January 06, 2026, prescribing standards for certain aluminium and alloy products. Subsequently, it was observed that a relevant revised Indian Standard was omitted from the notified schedule. To correct this omission, BIS has issued this corrigendum.
In Schedule, Sl. No. 01, Column (4) of the earlier notification, BIS has directed the addition of the following standard:
“Add IS 1285:2023 Wrought Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys — Extruded Round Tube and Hollow Sections for General Engineering Purposes — Specification (Fourth Revision) after IS 733:1983 Specification for Wrought Aluminium and Aluminium Alloy Bars, Rods and Sections (For General Engineering Purposes) (Third Revision).”
