Applicable Act/Rule: Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), has initiated the empanelment of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) of Air Pollution Control Devices (APCDs) to ensure proper design and performance of pollution control systems in industries. The task of empanelment has been assigned to the National Productivity Council (NPC).
NPC has launched an empanelment process for OEMs of APCDs, with detailed eligibility criteria, application forms, fees, and document requirements available on the NPC website.
To promote domestic manufacturing under the ‘Make in India’ initiative, CPCB has introduced a fee reimbursement scheme applicable till October 10, 2025, for Indian OEMs meeting the required local content norms as per DPIIT guidelines.
The reimbursement will cover up to ₹1.47 lakh plus applicable GST, including processing, empanelment, and verification fees, and will be provided directly by CPCB after NPC’s verification report.
Only complete applications submitted to NPC by October 10, 2025 via email will be eligible for reimbursement, limited to one APCD type per vendor.
