Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued Notification S.O. 2625(E) appointing May 26, 2026 as the date on which specified provisions of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Act, 2026 shall come into force.
The notification brings into force sections 2 to 6, sections 8 to 33, sections 35 to 39, section 41, sections 43 to 44, section 46, sections 48 to 59, sections 61 to 66, section 68 and section 72 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Act, 2026.
The notification further brings into force sub-clause (iii) of clause (a) and clause (b) of section 34, clause (a) of section 69, clause (a) of section 70 and sub-clauses (i) to (xxvi) of clause (b) of section 70, excluding sub-clause (xx) of clause (b) of section 70.
