The Bureau of Indian Standards issues notifications for establishment, revision, and withdrawal of Indian Standards applicable to various products and processes. These standards apply to manufacturers, laboratories, and stakeholders relying on BIS specifications. The present notification introduces revised and new standards while specifying concurrent applicability of earlier standards until their withdrawal. It also prescribes the withdrawal dates of superseded standards.

The Bureau of Indian Standards has notified the establishment of the following Indian Standards with effect from March 05, 2026, along with corresponding withdrawal of earlier standards where applicable:
