Applicable Act / Rule: Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018
The Bureau of Indian Standards notifies establishment of new and revised Indian Standards under Rule 15(1) of the BIS Rules, 2018. These standards apply to products, processes, and systems requiring conformity with BIS specifications. Earlier standards notified under respective IS numbers continue to remain in force concurrently until their specified withdrawal dates. This notification updates and replaces earlier versions of standards, including revisions issued in prior years.
The following Indian Standards have been established with effect from 23 March 2026, along with corresponding withdrawal timelines:
All earlier standards shall remain in force concurrently until the respective withdrawal dates.
