Applicable Act/Rule – Income-tax Act, 1961
The Income Tax Department has made available Excel-based utilities for filing updated returns in ITR-1 and ITR-2 for the Assessment Years (AYs) 2021–22 and 2022–23. These updated return utilities are aligned with the provisions of the Finance Act, 2025, which may have introduced revised compliance or disclosure requirements.
