The Telangana Government has issued orders exempting certain categories of Government employees from routine transfers and postings under Section 20(5) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Employees with 70% or more disability will be retained at their existing posting or place of choice, subject to administrative needs. Parents of children with intellectual disabilities and employees acting as caregivers for dependents (spouse, children, parents, siblings) with 70% or more specified disability are also covered. This measure aims to ensure workplace stability, support families of persons with disabilities, and improve inclusiveness in service conditions across departments.
