Mapping of ICEGATE with CDSCO-Notified Ports for Import of Drugs, Medical Devices and Cosmetics

Notification/Circular No.: Imp-12018(19)/13/2025-eOffice dated October 07, 2025

Applicable Act/Rule: Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940

Rule 43-A of the Drugs Rules, 1945 restricts drug imports to specific notified ports. CDSCO has now integrated these notified ports with corresponding CDSCO Port Offices on ICEGATE. Consequently, all Bills of Entry (BOE) for import consignments must be referred to the mapped CDSCO Port Office for regulatory verification and clearance.
Authorities and stakeholders have been advised that only consignments routed through the notified ports—such as Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Cochin, Nhava Sheva, Kandla, Visakhapatnam, Tuticorin, Kamrajar, Marmugao, Hazira, and designated Inland Container Depots (ICDs)—will be permitted. Imports made through any non-notified port will not be allowed under the Drugs Rules.
A detailed list of the CDSCO Port Offices and their corresponding notified entry points has been annexed to the circular for operational reference.
