Applicable Section/Rule: Section 57(2)(a)
Ministry of Labour and Employment has issued a notification appointing a designated authority under clause (a) of sub-section (2) of Section 57 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020.
The Central Government has appointed a designated authority comprising the following members:
(1) Director General, Directorate General of Labour Welfare — Chairperson;
(2) Representative of Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) — Member;
(3) Representative of Directorate General of Mines Safety — Member;
(4) Representative of Directorate General Factory Advice Service and Labour Institutes — Member.
