The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Regulation of Controlled Substances) Order, 2013 regulates specified controlled substances used in the manufacture of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. The Central Government periodically updates the schedules to include additional substances requiring regulatory control. The principal order was issued in 2013 and was last amended on January 23, 2025. The present amendment further expands the list of controlled substances under the Order.

1. Insertion in Schedule-A
   In Schedule-A, after serial number 7 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entry shall be inserted, namely:

“8. 2-Bromo-4-Methylpropiophenone”.

1. Insertion in Schedule-B
   In Schedule-B, after serial number 45 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entry shall be inserted, namely:

“46. 2-Bromo-4-Methylpropiophenone”.

1. Insertion in Schedule-C
   In Schedule-C, after serial number 45 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entry shall be inserted, namely:

“46. 2-Bromo-4-Methylpropiophenone”.
