Ministry of Labour and Employment issued notifications under the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 relating to appointment of officers for imposition of penalties and composition of offences under the Code.

Notification S.O. 2486(E) appoints the Deputy Director (Safety), Dock Safety Division, Directorate General Factory Advice Service and Labour Institutes, Mumbai, as the officer for imposition of penalties under the Code in case of dock work for all major ports.

Notification S.O. 2507(E) notifies Deputy Chief Labour Commissioners (Central) across various regional jurisdictions as officers for composition of offences under the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020. The notification specifies jurisdiction-wise coverage for regions including Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Patna, Raipur and other regions.

The notification further specifies state-wise and district-wise jurisdiction for the notified officers for the purpose of composition of offences under the Code.
