Revision of APAR Timelines for 2024-25 through SPARROW – Corrigendum

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has issued a corrigendum to its earlier circular dated September 22, 2025, on the timelines for preparation and completion of the Annual Performance Assessment Report (APAR) for the year 2024-25 through SPARROW. The corrigendum corrects inadvertent errors in the year mentioned for certain activities.

Details of Changes

Revised Timelines (Sl. No. 8 to 10):

  1. Disposal of representation by Competent Authority and forwarding to APAR Custodian

    • Earlier timeline: January 21, 2025
    • Corrected timeline: January 21, 2026
  2. Communication of Competent Authority’s decision by APAR Custodian to the officer reported upon

    • Earlier timeline: Within 10 days of finalisation of decision (incorrect year implied)
    • Corrected timeline: Within 10 days of finalisation of decision by the Competent Authority (2026)
  3. End of APAR process – APAR finally taken on record

    • Earlier timeline: January 31, 2025
    • Corrected timeline: January 31, 2026
