Revision of Minimum Wages in Haryana

The minimum rates of wages in Haryana were previously revised vide notification dated October 21, 2015. The present notification revises the basic minimum wages across all employments in the State based on recommendations of the Committee and Sub-Committee constituted under Section 8 of the Code on Wages, 2019. The revision applies to all categories of workers and establishments covered under the Code.

The Government has fixed/revised the basic minimum rates of wages with effect from April 01, 2026 as follows:

  • Unskilled: ₹15,220.71 per month / ₹585.41 per day
  • Semi-Skilled: ₹16,780.74 per month / ₹645.41 per day
  • Skilled: ₹18,500.81 per month / ₹711.56 per day
  • Highly Skilled: ₹19,425.85 per month / ₹747.14 per day

The revised wages shall apply to all establishments, including factories, employees, workers, and contract labour as defined under the Code on Wages, 2019.

The notification further provides that:

  • The minimum wages notified are basic wages and shall not be split into allowances.
  • There shall be 100% neutralization of Consumer Price Index variations as per prescribed rules.
  • No gender-based wage differentiation is permitted.
  • Principal employer shall ensure payment of minimum wages where workers are engaged through contractors.
  • Trainees shall be paid 75% of applicable wages, subject to a floor of unskilled wages.
